Torq Atak Gets Torqued!
Well, I put fresh batteries, and a sticky set of Michelins on the Torq Atak, and took it out for some testing. Wooo-HOOO! Too much fun climbing even slippery ledges. Unfortunately, with all that new torque, and traction to apply it, we found the bike's LRPANR, Longitudinal Rotational Pivot Angle of No Return, or loop-out point, for layman and moto-heads. Here's some photos of the structural integrity research and development results. (Read: crash damage) Fortunately, sound testing procedures (good helmet, boots and gloves) and years of experience (my battered brain can't remember all of the spectacular crashes I've had) precluded any human damage other than bruised pride, and a lighter wallet when Brett and Ely give me a price on some new bodywork. Amazingly, despite a full-blown flip-flop cartwheel down the hill that would have made Olga Korbut proud, the rest of the bike was undamaged!
